What a Luxury Richmond, Virginia Wedding Florist Brings to a Celebration
There's a moment at every wedding we design when the room finally comes to life. The greenery is suspended perfectly, the candles are lit, the last stem is tucked into place, and the whole space seems to exhale. It's the moment a couple walks in and feels, all at once, that this was made for them. Creating that feeling is the heart of what we do, and it's what we mean when we call ourselves a luxury Richmond, Virginia wedding florist: not simply arranging flowers, but designing, producing, and installing an entire world of intentional beauty around your day.
Below, we're pulling back the curtain on a recent wedding brought to life on the grounds of the Country Club of Virginia to share what elevated, full-service floral design brings to a Richmond wedding, and how to recognize the kind of team who can create it with you.

What Makes a Richmond Wedding Florist Luxury
Luxury, to us, was never about a single show-stopping arrangement. It lives in the architecture underneath the entire day, the intentional artistry and refined chaos that ties every floral moment together into one seamless story.
At this level, your florist is a design and production partner. That means design shaped entirely around your story rather than pulled from a preset menu, the capability to bring large-scale installations to life (think: suspended greenery, floral-wrapped entrances, fully dressed reception stages), and a dedicated, high-touch team who manages every logistical detail from load-in to the final candle of the night. For couples, that difference shows up as ease. You dream, and you trust that a logistical powerhouse is in your corner making it real, on time, exactly as imagined.
As a luxury wedding florist serving Richmond, Virginia and beyond, our promise is simple: to create beauty without boundaries, and to make the experience of getting there feel just as intentional as the result.

A Spring Celebration at the Country Club of Virginia
One of our recent Virginia weddings unfolded across the grounds of the Country Club of Virginia, and it's a beautiful portrait of how a full-production approach comes together.
The day began with a ceremony offsite at a church, where we adorned the steps with lush designs full of garden roses, hydrangea, butterfly ranunculus, and more. We wrapped trailing smilax throughout to create an organic, lush look.

After the ceremony, the celebration moved to CCV's Westhampton Clubhouse. Cocktail hour and dinner were nestled indoors, then dancing carried outside beneath a sailcloth tent and an open evening sky. That kind of indoor-to-outdoor flow is exactly where our love of storytelling comes alive; each space asked for its own floral moment while still feeling like chapters of the same story.

Inside, garden-inspired centerpieces layered garden roses, sweet peas, calla lilies, anemones, and trailing amaranthus into lush, unhurried arrangements. This created that grown-not-arranged look that feels romantic and utterly intentional at once. Tapered candles, fringe lamps, and warm tortoiseshell votives wandered down the tables, enhancing the garden-party charm.

Out under the tent, we lifted the garden overhead with trailing greenery woven through the ceiling and threaded with disco balls, woven rattan pendants, and warm string lights. We also wrapped the tent's entrance in blooms, so guests stepped through a living, flower-laden doorway on their way in. A terracotta-and-white checkerboard dance floor anchored the space, and the stage became a canvas all its own: a soft green paneled backdrop rising above a navy base, its panels filled with installed florals so the band played from inside a garden rather than in front of one. The fringed table lamps came from Something Vintage Rentals, while the navy bars and stage were brought to life with Paisley & Jade - rental partners whose collections we'd gladly design alongside again.

The palette leaned into spring, yet the tented, candlelit, indoor-outdoor design feels beautifully season-flexible. This is exactly why couples dreaming of a fall Richmond wedding should take note. Trade in the season's freshest blooms, let the candlelight deepen, and the same magic carries a crisp autumn evening just as gracefully.
Why a Full-Production Florist in Richmond, Virginia Changes What's Possible
Here is the quiet truth of our craft: not every florist is built to produce. Many create lovely arrangements. Far fewer can design, source, fabricate, install, and strike a large-scale celebration within a venue's timeline, and do it seamlessly.
That logistical mastery has always been part of who we are. Over years of designing across states and venues, we've honed our expertise in the behind-the-scenes choreography that elevated events require. As a floral production powerhouse, Remi + Gold pairs a Virginia studio arm, led on the ground by our designer Emmy Burke, with the full creative and design support of our founding Austin team and a trusted network of collaborators. We have the people, the process, and the resources to bring even the boldest visions to life. Capacity, for us, is not a boast - it's simply what lets our couples dream without limits.

It's also what allows us to say yes to venues with exacting standards. Country clubs, historic estates, and tented builds each carry their own rules around timing, rigging, and load-out. A team that plans for all of it and honors every guideline with care is what keeps your evening feeling effortless from the first arrangement to the final sweep of the night.

When to Reach Out to Your Richmond, Virginia Wedding Florist
Here's something worth knowing about the celebration above: from booking to the last dance, we had just 8-10 weeks.
In the wedding world, that's a remarkably tight turnaround for a full-production design with suspended installations, a floral-wrapped tent entrance, a custom stage, and lush tablescapes. It's the kind of timeline many florists simply can't take on. But sourcing specialty blooms, coordinating with rental partners, and building large-scale installations under pressure is exactly where our logistical mastery shows. It's a muscle we've built over years of designing across venues and states, and it means we can move quickly without sacrificing a single intentional detail.
Now, will we always tell you that sooner is better? Of course. Securing your florist early opens the door to more relaxed sourcing, more time to dream together, and first pick of the season's most coveted blooms. But if you find yourself further along your planning timeline than you'd hoped, with your florals still unchecked on the list, it’s okay. A short runway doesn't mean settling for less. It simply means you'll want a team with the capacity, the network, and the experience to bring your vision to life beautifully, on time, no matter the timeline. That's a team we're proud to be.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a florist a good fit for a country club wedding?
Country clubs like the Country Club of Virginia often come with specific expectations around setup windows, rigging, and end-of-night breakdown. The right florist brings a full team who can produce and install within those time constraints, honors the venue's guidelines with care, and handles cleanup, strike, and hauling once the last dance ends - so the club stays delighted and your evening stays effortless. At the luxury level, that professionalism and production capacity matter every bit as much as the design itself.
How do I choose a wedding florist in Richmond, Virginia?
Look for a florist whose portfolio reflects the scale and spirit of the day you're dreaming of, who communicates warmly and clearly, and who can speak just as fluently to logistics as to blooms. Ask how they approach install and strike, whether they can bring larger installations to life, and how they source seasonal flowers. The right fit will feel less like a vendor and more like a creative partner, someone who takes your vision and gently elevates it beyond what you imagined.
What should a custom wedding floral package in Richmond include?
At this level, a package is built around you, never pulled from a menu. Ours typically spans ceremony florals, cocktail-hour details, reception centerpieces and tablescapes, statement installations, and all the candlelight and vessel styling that ties the story together, designed and produced by one dedicated, accountable team.
Can you design a seasonal Richmond wedding, including fall dates?
Absolutely. Our designs are always built around the freshest seasonal blooms, and structural elements like installs, layered candlelight, and rich textures that translate beautifully from one season to the next. Whether you're planning a spring garden celebration or booking a fall Richmond wedding date, we tailor every palette and bloom to the moment.
How far in advance should I book?
For involved production weddings, earlier is always better. Securing your florist well ahead of your date, and at minimum once your venue is set, gives us the time to source specialty flowers, coordinate rentals, and pre-build your installations with care. If you have a date in mind, reach out and we'll happily share our availability.
