Remi + Gold Expands to the East Coast: A Richmond Wedding Florist Rooted in Virginia and Connected to D.C.
Remi + Gold is thrilled to announce its newest chapter - expanding to the East Coast with a second home base in Richmond, Virginia!
Change is blooming beautifully at Remi + Gold. What began in Austin as a studio rooted in intentional artistry and creative connection has now expanded eastward, opening a second home base in Richmond, Virginia.
As a Richmond wedding florist with deep Austin roots, Remi + Gold is thrilled to bring its signature design ethos to the East Coast - blending refined chaos, modern romance, and artful storytelling for couples and creative partners alike. This next chapter feels like a natural evolution of who we are: rooted in Virginia, connected to D.C., and always ready to create wherever beauty calls along the East Coast.
A New Chapter in Bloom
Remi + Gold has been designing across the country for years, creating installations that have traveled far beyond our Austin roots. The decision to officially expand felt like a natural evolution of our growth - a reflection of how often our work has taken us to the East Coast and how inspired we’ve been by its design sensibility, venues, and creative community. This chapter is about planting deeper roots where we’ve already built meaningful connections, and creating a true home base for our East Coast clients and collaborators.
Virginia sits at the intersection of history, charm, and modern artistry. It offers access to both the intimacy of countryside estates and the energy of nearby cities like D.C. and Richmond. One of our lead designers, Emmy Burke, made Virginia home this year, and that serendipitous moment felt like the sign we needed. It allowed us to bring Remi + Gold’s design ethos, our balance of intentional artistry and refined chaos, to a region we’ve long admired.
At our core, we’re a studio that thrives on movement, growth, curiosity, and connection. Establishing our second headquarters in Virginia is an expansion of that ethos. It gives us the opportunity to collaborate more closely with East Coast planners, creatives, and couples while still honoring the creative integrity and artistry that began in Austin. Our vision has always been to create beauty without boundaries, and this move simply gives that vision more space to bloom.
The Heart Behind the Expansion
Leading this new chapter is Emmy Burke, one of our lead designers, who will oversee floral production for our VA/DC and East Coast events.
Virginia is home for her - she grew up on a farm in central Virginia and has always carried a deep love for the region’s natural beauty and creative spirit. A native and true East Coast enthusiast, Emmy is eager to bring the signature Remi + Gold artistry to this side of the country and lead our newest chapter with heart and vision.
Over the years, our studio has honed its expertise in logistics - especially when it comes to designing across states and venues. We have an incredible core team in Austin and a trusted network of freelancers nationwide who help us bring each vision to life seamlessly. With Richmond as our second home base, we’re expanding that network while continuing to lean on the foundation and support of our Austin studio. Both teams will work collaboratively on every East Coast event - combining online, creative, and design support to ensure the same level of detail and artistry our clients have come to expect.
Just like every Remi + Gold experience, our VA/DC clients will have a dedicated high-touch team committed to bringing their vision to life from start to finish. Inquiries begin through our website, where clients connect with our sales team for an introductory call to discuss their event in depth. From there, Emmy leads the charge on the ground, directing design, production, and execution to make every East Coast event feel effortless, intentional, and uniquely Remi.
Looking Ahead
As we look toward 2026 and beyond, we’re so excited to deepen our roots in Virginia and D.C. while continuing to design for clients across the East Coast. This next chapter feels full of possibility - for new creative partnerships, fresh collaborations, and the opportunity to bring our signature Remi + Gold artistry to even more incredible venues and events. It’s a season of expansion, connection, and continued evolution all while staying grounded in the intentional, design-forward approach that defines who we are.
Our goal is to keep building bridges between our Austin and Virginia studios, fostering a creative flow that allows our team and our clients to dream without limits - knowing they have a logistical powerhouse in their corner.

Our East Coast Debut: A Celebration of Connection
To celebrate the new studio, we brought a styled shoot to life alongside an incredible group of Virginia creatives. The vision was simple: to create a teaser of what Remi + Gold is known for - elevated, intentional, and artfully curated event design.
This shoot served as both a creative introduction to our East Coast presence and a celebration of connection - a way to share our signature aesthetic while getting to know the inspiring community of local vendors. We were thrilled to create alongside Nicole Clarey Photography, ModMotion, and The Hive Wedding Collective at the modern yet timeless Common House RVA.

“It’s wild to look back and realize how naturally this came together. We’ve had the privilege of creating all across the U.S., and many countries across the world, but the need for a second home was starting to feel more inevitable. Opening our second home base in Virginia isn’t just growth, it’s alignment. It feels like we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.”
