How Florals Elevate the Corporate Event Experience
We’ve always believed florals do more than look pretty - they tell stories, spark conversation, and completely transform a space. And in the world of corporate events - where goals like brand visibility, guest engagement, and strategic networking are top of mind, thoughtful floral design can make all the difference.
Let’s take a closer look at how floral design helps create purposeful, high-impact moments at corporate events.
Designing for Brand Awareness
Most of our corporate clients come to us with one major goal: brand awareness and visibility. From launch parties to conferences, floral design plays a vital role in reinforcing brand identity. Think branded color palettes, thematic design elements, and custom installations that match the event’s vibe from start to finish.
Whether it’s a bold, color-blocked arrangement using dyed blooms or a monochromatic installation that echoes a company’s aesthetic, we love weaving a brand’s personality directly into the florals.
Creating Impactful Welcome Moments
First impressions matter.
A warm, open entrance lets guests know they’re in the right place and sets the tone for everything that follows.
For corporate events, we often recommend:
A large quantity of mixed potted plants in varying heights at the entry
Ground florals flanking the welcome table or mixed in with the potted plants
A medium to large sized arrangement on the welcome table
Larger-scale floral or greenery installations around entrance doors
These intentional design moments say, “You’ve arrived. Come on in.”
Enhancing Guest Flow and Engagement
The right floral design does more than decorate - it guides. We design installations that encourage interaction, spark networking, and help guests move through the space with ease.
Some of our go-tos include:
Branded photo backdrops with custom florals
Pedestal and ground arrangements to frame high-traffic areas
Hanging ceiling installations over the reception area
Stage installations with ground florals and plants for speaker zones to draw the eye forward
From conversation-starting cocktail table arrangements to story-driven centerpieces, it’s all about using florals to build guest connection and flow.
Designing for Purpose and Storytelling
Floral design isn’t just about the visuals - it’s about crafting a feeling. When done intentionally, it can completely transform how a space is experienced, especially in moments that matter most.
Take our most recent SXSW event from Austin, TX - Create & Cultivate for example. They wanted their stage to feel like a cozy fireside chat - inviting, earthy, and full of intention. They wanted their guests to feel at ease and encourage open conversation and learning opportunities. This wasn’t just another backdrop - it was the heartbeat of the event!
We blended various heights of faux and real plants, a large collection of ground floral arrangements with grassy textures, stone pedestals with floral arrangements on top and moss trailing down, and an arrangement at the base of each pedestal. Throughout the stage design, we incorporated large faux boulders and loose moss to bring the whole look together.
Since this was the central hub of the event - where keynote speakers would be sharing powerful messages - it needed to feel intentional and immersive. The result? A design that didn’t just decorate the stage but shaped the entire guest experience!
Trusting the Process (and the Florals)
Most of our clients understand the power of florals - and how designing an open, welcoming space can lead to deeper conversations and more meaningful connections. But one common misconception we still run into? That we can guarantee specific flower varieties. The truth is, Mother Nature does her own thing, and we’re just here for the ride.
That’s why we always encourage our corporate clients to trust us: tell us the theme, the overall aesthetic, and the color palette you’re envisioning - and we’ll deliver above and beyond! We know there will be tweaks to make along the way (and we’re totally prepared for that), but when things get too specific, it can clog up the process. Everyone can easily lose sight of the bigger picture: the story and purpose of the event.
Our recommendation? Share your goals, your vibe, and the overall aesthetic - then let us do what we do best! We’ll design something that brings it all to life without overcomplicating the process.
Florals, But Make it Unexpected
Yes, we love fresh flowers…but don’t sleep on the power of a good faux moment! Honestly, we’re the masters at sourcing realistic faux plants and cacti, especially for clients who want something big, bold, and consistent in size and quality. We often get requests for large cacti, and faux is a great way to guarantee the look without the unpredictability.
We also get tons of love for our moss work - its texture adds such a unique, organic layer to any design. And when brand alignment is the goal? We’ve dyed florals to match exact brand colors and created monochromatic and color-blocked designs to bring in a little extra edge.
So don’t be afraid to go faux - or to play outside the box. Sometimes those unexpected floral elements end up stealing the whole show!
