How to Choose a Corporate Event Florist You Can Rely On
Planning a corporate event takes more than selecting a venue and sending invitations. Every detail - from the way guests are welcomed to the design of the space - shapes the overall experience. Florals play an essential role in setting that tone, which is why choosing the right florist can make or break the flow of your event.
At Remi + Gold, we know corporate planners aren’t just looking for “pretty flowers.” They want creative, thoughtful designs that also work seamlessly within the event’s logistics. Whether you’re planning a brand activation during SXSW in Austin, a corporate hospitality event for F1, a brand activation in Scottsdale, or a mountain retreat in Telluride, here’s how to choose a corporate event florist you can rely on.
In this article, you’ll learn how to:
Identify a florist who listens first and uncovers your event priorities
Understand the importance of balancing logistics and creativity
See why experience with different markets and venues matters
Ask about internal systems that ensure every detail is covered

Look for a Team That Listens First
The most common concern we hear when a corporate planner reaches out? Feedback from their previous event that they don’t want to repeat. Every floral studio operates differently, so consistency across studios can feel elusive - especially when planners are producing events in multiple cities.
That’s why our team starts by listening. One of the first questions we ask is what type of event you’re hosting. It is very beneficial for our team to have this knowledge so we know what the goal of R+G’s services are. Because of our vast network of clients, your event could need anything from a few centerpieces and candles for an internal sales dinner to a multi-day floral build-out for a brand activation. Once we understand how much florals will play into the overall event design, it really helps guide us in what to propose.
We’ll also ask if there’s a theme or color palette you’re envisioning. Some clients want to lean into Texas with succulents and wildflowers everywhere, while others want their brand elevated with florals that align perfectly with their guidelines.
And of course, we ask about the budget. Corporate clients often have historical data from past events or a high-level range of what’s been budgeted for florals. If a budget hasn’t been set, we’ll reframe the question: “Would you be sticker shocked if this quote came back at $X?” Or, we may present the initial pricing based on your requests, and then scale back during a revision if needed. This approach often helps clients create a budget by providing a clear parameter of what to expect. We can also guide clients on how to allocate their budget if we have an understanding of their design priorities after they have reviewed the line items in the proposal.
Those questions help us uncover your vision and priorities right away. Once we know the scope and expectations, we can build a proposal that makes sense - whether that’s a few centerpieces and candles or a full-scale floral build-out. Our proposals are very detailed, and when clients share preferences or feedback, we flag them for our design team so nothing gets lost in translation.

A Reliable Event Florist Balances Beauty and Logistics
We are a very logistics-driven studio and find it crucial to have as much information as possible before an event. For large-scale events - from SXSW activations to Formula 1 race week parties - timelines are tight, vendors are moving in and out, and logistics are everything. Our team thrives in that fast-paced environment! There are typically multiple vendors contracted, and we are all working in tandem with one another at the loading dock, setting up within the space, and again at the end of the night for strike. It’s a game of Tetris to determine these types of timelines, but it is so important.
For example, if we receive a timeline and the planner has our team loading in first before rentals, this would internally ping us to request a different load-in time - because we can’t set the flowers out without tables. Those small adjustments are what prevent major headaches later.
Corporate clients and meeting planners aren’t just looking for “pretty flowers” anymore. They want beauty without the stress, and we provide that insurance for them.
Our creativity and design thrive because they’re supported, not hindered, by logistics and structure. We know how to tackle a large-scale design, but there are always parameters on what can be proposed - whether it’s the venue access time, only allowing for a short setup window, or specific budget guidelines. It’s our job as professionals to be realistic while still executing the client’s vision.
We also have so much experience with the venues in Austin, which helps us determine what can and can’t be proposed, along with any quirks the venue may have. That insider knowledge ensures our proposals are both creative and feasible.

Choose a Corporate Florist With Experience Across Markets
One advantage of working with Remi + Gold is our depth of experience across cities. We know the ins and outs of Austin venues - from their quirks to their load-in restrictions. We’ve designed florals for everything from downtown SXSW venues with quick turnarounds to F1 hospitality events where timing and precision are critical. We’ve also partnered with brands in Scottsdale and Telluride, where destination logistics can be especially complex. That range means we can guide planners on what’s realistic in each market while still creating show-stopping florals that feel authentic to the brand and the setting.

Ask About Internal Processes
It goes without saying that a common theme here is our team’s love for logistics! Our departments - Account Management, Design, and Operations - rely heavily on one another to make sure all of our i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed.
Our dedicated Account Management (AM) Team works the closest with clients. They’re in communication from the very start, creating detailed pricing proposals. That team then collaborates with our Design Team to ensure what’s being proposed is feasible. As the event approaches, the AM and Design Teams regroup to confirm all details and ensure every piece of inventory has been pulled, cleaned, and prepped for the event.
Our Operations Team is the true logistical mastermind behind the R+G doors! They work hand-in-hand with the AM Team to confirm capacity to take on events, and with the design team to make sure we have staff both in-studio and onsite to bring designs to life.
We also hold a weekly internal core team meeting with all departments. Amongst our revolving agenda, one very important topic is reviewing each event on the calendar that week. These discussions include specific call-outs - whether it’s notes for our Design Team to be aware of (like if a client doesn’t want stems too tall, etc.) or for our Operations Team (like when a final timeline shifts strike an hour later than originally communicated).
This layered process means that by the time we’re onsite, every department is aligned, every detail is tracked, and the event runs seamlessly.
