A Few of Our Favorite Spring Weddings This Year, Designed at Austin's Best Wedding Venues
This spring, we designed some of our dreamiest florals yet at a handful of Austin's best wedding venues. Between incredible installations, romantic tablescapes, and lush bouquets, we created some of our most memorable designs yet! We couldn't possibly showcase every wedding from the season (there were so many beautiful ones!), but here's a look inside a few of our favorites, and what made each venue such a perfect place to say “I do”.
This Season’s Favorites:
Hotel Saint Cecilia - a boutique, adults-only hideaway near South Congress
Woodbine Mansion - a historic Texas mansion just outside Austin
Mattie's - a romantic garden setting in South Austin
Omni Barton Creek - a Hill Country resort with gorgeous views
Four Seasons Austin - a downtown luxury hotel on Lady Bird Lake
The Videre Estate - a modern Hill Country estate
Some of Austin's Best Wedding Venues for a Spring Wedding
Every one of these venues brought something different to the table this spring: a historic mansion here, a modern Hill Country estate there, and everything in between. But they all share a few things in common. They each have flexible indoor-outdoor spaces for unpredictable spring weather, beautiful architecture, and just enough of a blank canvas for the florals to set the tone. That range is exactly what makes Austin such a beautiful city to design in, and exactly why we wanted to give these venues, and these weddings, a proper spotlight.
Hotel Saint Cecilia
Tucked into a quiet, residential stretch near South Congress, Hotel St. Cecilia is a boutique, adults-only property with a rock-and-roll-meets-old-Hollywood kind of glamour. Built from a restored 1888 Victorian home, it has a 1960s inspired vibe woven through the garden grounds. It’s moody, intimate, and full of character. Its smaller scale makes it a favorite for couples who want a wedding that feels curated rather than grand.
For the ceremony, we skipped the traditional straight aisle entirely, designing a meandering path through the garden lined with floral clusters in marigold orange, magenta, and lavender. It gave guests a reason to look around instead of straight ahead, leading them naturally toward an abundant floral moment at the end. This was the perfect design for the space.
The reception leaned all the way into color. Hanging fringe installations in bold colors hung over the space, playing off the mustard velvet banquettes and black-and-white striped awnings, while each table carried its own curated grouping of jewel-toned blooms. Bold, layered, and unapologetically colorful, it was exactly the kind of design we love building out!

Woodbine Mansion
Just outside Austin, the Woodbine Mansion is a historic Texas estate built for romantic weddings, intimate elopements, and special events. Its wide lawns and grand facade gave this wedding room to spread out between the grounds and the mansion's interior, and that space became the perfect canvas for a design that leaned fully into bold color.
For the ceremony, we built four freestanding floral columns instead of a traditional arch, each one packed with garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, and bougainvillea in a gradient of red, coral, peach, and gold. That same energy carried all the way down the aisle, with lush grounded florals full of juicy colors!
Inside the tent, trailing smilax ran the length of the ceiling beneath crystal chandeliers, setting a soft, romantic tone before you even reached the tables. The band's stage got its own floral treatment, with blooms spilling across the front paneling in the same warm palette of dahlias, garden roses, and ranunculus that carried through the whole reception. At the tables, that same abundance took over completely, with blooms cascading right off the edges instead of staying neatly contained, giving the entire space that dreamy, slightly overgrown romance we love designing for.

Mattie's
In South Austin, Mattie's at Green Pastures is a historic farmhouse venue with more than 75 years of history behind it, renovated in 2017 and known around the city as quintessentially Austin. Peacocks wander the grounds, and string lights, mature oak trees, and a patio that flows easily from ceremony to reception give it that same elevated, editorial charm throughout. With a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, from a full ballroom to open lawns, it gave us room to design something that felt a little wild and untamed.
One of the things we love about Mattie's is how many ceremony locations it offers on the property. This time, we designed a full, garden-style meadow right in the ballroom, lining the aisle with grounded floral designs in a gorgeous spring palette, a mix of saturated and pastel hues. The aisle led up to an altar framed by an asymmetrical floral design, hanging multicolored fringe tassels, and a giant disco ball. Fringe was having a major moment this spring!
For the reception, we carried that same lush, organic look straight through the pavilion, but let the shape of each area guide the design. Long feasting tables got thick, sprawling floral runners paired with hanging installations suspended overhead, round tables carried compote-style arrangements, and the cocktail tables got their own wicker lamp centerpieces for something a little more playful. Outside, we lined the entrance steps with more florals, so guests got a taste of the design the moment they arrived. Our favorite part, though, was flipping the ceremony space into the dance floor once dinner wrapped: same disco ball, same fringe backdrop, just fully lit up and ready for the party! That kind of flexibility is exactly why a space like Mattie's works so well for a wedding like this one.

Omni Barton Creek
Just outside downtown Austin, Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa sits on 4,000 wooded acres in the Texas Hill Country, with sweeping hillside views and an eclectic, Hill Country inspired style that runs through the whole property. It's less a single event space than a full Hill Country retreat: nature trails, a fire pit lawn, and enough acreage that a wedding weekend can spread out and breathe.
Cocktail hour unfolded on an open lawn tented against the Hill Country sky, with the resort's hillside views as a backdrop. From there, guests moved into a reception that felt less like a single room and more like a fully immersive experience. We dressed the long tables in sage green linens and tall taper candles, then layered in romantic florals in soft whites and lavender for a palette that felt gentle without losing structure. Tall olive trees added height throughout the room, paired with a collection of chinoiserie ginger jars and white ceramic lamp style vases, each one filled with a single type of bloom in a mono-botanical style to create visual impact. Florals filled the banquette seating, lined the tables, and tucked into every corner of the room, so guests were surrounded by the design no matter where they sat.
It's this kind of fully immersive design that we love creating most, and it's exactly what we dig into in Tablescapes That Wow: How Florals Transform Your Wedding Reception Experience.

Four Seasons Austin
Right on Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin, the Four Seasons offers a luxury hotel backdrop for couples who want a downtown skyline feel, all built around manicured lawns, gardens in full bloom, and water on the horizon. It's downtown Austin without ever feeling like downtown Austin, a five star hotel that somehow still feels like a retreat. Polish paired with nature is exactly the kind of contrast we love to design.
We designed a stunning floral arch bursting with spring blooms in the dreamiest color palette: blush peonies, garden roses, and soft lavender and blue, right in the middle of downtown Austin. We installed wild, trailing smilax along the ceiling of the tent to soften the space and make it feel like a private garden had grown up in the middle of the city. Then we grounded the aisle with garden style floral designs on either side, framing the space and drawing the eye forward to the arch.
We turned our attention to the ballroom next, where we created the most magical, spring flower filled room. We wrapped custom arch lamps in florals, designed centerpieces bursting with spring blooms, and had fun with oversized, whimsical florals scattered throughout the space. What started as a blank canvas ballroom became a dreamy spring wonderland by the time we were finished! It's always such a pleasure designing at the Four Seasons, and this reception was no exception.

The Videre Estate
A newer addition to the Austin area wedding scene, The Videre Estate sits just outside Wimberley in the heart of the Hill Country, bringing a modern, architectural aesthetic to the landscape: clean lines, floor to ceiling windows, marble floors, and chandeliers that let the surrounding views do a lot of the visual work. The ceremony deck sits eighty feet above a private lake, with rolling hills stretching out in every direction. Designing here meant leaning into that modern sensibility, with florals that felt intentional and a little unexpected rather than traditional.
For this ceremony design, we went bold with the color palette! We created grounded floral designs along the aisle so guests got a full sensory moment on the way to their seats. This also led the eye to a stunning altar moment overlooking the lake. At the altar, we let the design go big and bright with layered florals on pedestals to frame the couple. We loved designing with these colorful florals!
Inside the Videre Hall, we turned the reception space into a full color experience. We built centerpieces that mixed every color in our palette into one arrangement: marigold, hot pink, coral, lavender, and blue, with blooms spilling right off the tables and onto the floor. A floral facade dressed the stage where the band played, and we carried that same colorful energy into the seating chart display, which became its own little moment for guests before they even sat down. This was maximalism done right, and it's exactly the kind of design we live for.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best time of year to book a wedding venue in Austin?
Many of the most popular Austin venues book one to two years out, and spring dates tend to go first thanks to mild weather and blooming landscapes. If you have a specific venue or season in mind, it's worth reaching out as early as possible.
What questions should you ask before booking a wedding venue?
Beyond pricing and availability, ask about indoor and outdoor backup options for weather, any vendor restrictions (some venues require in house catering or an approved vendor list), and how much time you'll have on site for setup, including florals. It's also worth asking about guest capacity for both the ceremony and reception, whether there's a getting ready suite for you and your wedding party, and what the load in and load out timeline looks like for vendors on the day. The more specific your questions upfront, the fewer surprises you'll run into later.
What are the best Austin wedding venues for outdoor ceremonies?
Austin has no shortage of gorgeous outdoor ceremony spaces, from garden estates to Hill Country resorts with beautiful views. Several of the venues featured here offer flexible outdoor ceremony sites with an indoor backup close by, which matters more than people expect once you factor in Texas spring weather.
What are the best historic wedding venues in Austin?
Austin has a handful of stunning historic properties turned wedding venues, including restored mansions and vintage estates. We love designing in these spaces because the architecture already has so much personality, which means our florals get to complement the bones of the building rather than create the whole mood from scratch.
Where can I find luxury wedding venues in Austin with scenic views?
Several Austin area venues pair five star service with genuinely stunning views, whether that's a private lake, the Hill Country skyline, or the water right in the middle of downtown. A handful of the venues featured here are some of our favorites for exactly that reason.
What's the weather typically like for a spring wedding in Austin?
Austin springs are generally mild and comfortable, though rain and occasional temperature swings are possible, part of why so many couples are drawn to venues that offer both indoor and outdoor ceremony options. Whichever venue you choose, especially during spring, make sure it has a solid option for a rain plan!
